ALUMNI MEETING MINUTES

Financials for the January 25th meeting are posted on the web site on the link titled “Business Meeting Minutes”.  At this time we would like to advise that Mike Kollross has accepted the VP position and Jonathon Howell the Treasurer position; we welcome their support and input.

BREWER GAME- because of the lack of support for this event we are looking into some other program that might have a larger interest.  We will look into a FAMILY PICNIC format that might have a broader interest to those Brothers that have young children or would prefer to just relax on a weekend.  If anyone has any other ideas, feel free to offer them.

WESTERN LAKES GOLF OUTING – this has consistently been a great and growing opportunity for the Alumni of Phi Chi Epsilon.  Ben Kiesow and Greg Essig will continue to champion this event with plans emerging as the grass begins to show through the snow.

HOMECOMING 2014– As soon as we are aware of the date, it will be posted.  We continue to plan for an annual gathering.  The 95th anniversary of Phi Chi (2016) has been discussed as a milestone event, does anyone have suggestions as how we might make it special!?

Active chapter PHI CHI CALENDER – the Active Chapter is attempting to revive the tradition of the Calendar as a revenue tool.  They need Alumni support in their first attempt at initiating the program.  Contact ACVP Mike Strasser ph. 262.758.7416 (strassermj07@uww.edu).

CODE OF CONDUCT/SOCIAL NETWORKING

Phi Chi code of conduct, as I remember it, was that we would not take actions that could damage the PUBLIC Image of Phi Chi Epsilon.  Further, we pledged not to attack our brothers in a public forum.  We attempt to represent an image of professionalism through the sites we have established in the social network system.   Don’t we understand that eyes other than ours view messages posted on these sites?   I would suggest that those few that find VERBAL TWERKING their only mode of communication should use other means than the Phi Chi Pages.

LET’S KEEP ALL BROTHERS IN OUR MINDS AND PRAYERS

John Eulberg (’50) passed away Jan. 7, 2004.  Don Koeppen and Martin Haavisto advised us of his passing and we confirmed such, his obit has been posted in his bio.

Thomas Elsner (’67) passed away Jan. 22, 2014.  His obit has been posted in his directory bio.

Steve Van Galder (’67) passed away Jan. 24, 2014. Steve, though not Phi Chi, was extremely supportive of Warhawk Athletics, bled Purple and was a teammate of many Phi Chi’s from that era.

A donation has been made to the Warner/Phi Chi Epsilon Scholarship fund in their memory.
